Celebration Day for Girls in North London

What is a Celebration? Celebration Day for Girls is a unique Menstrual Education Programme created in Australia for girls aged 9-12 and their mothers / female caregivers. It incorporates the latest research and infuses it with he wisdom of traditional rites of passage.
How a girl experiences her first period paves the way for how she will feel about her body image, self-esteem and her levels of confidence.
Sadly, most women’s experience of menarche has been far from ideal, ranging from the negative to the neutral. Research has shown that the quality of information and the level of support that a girl receives at this stage, directly influences her health and wellbeing for years to come.
Rates of depression, anxiety and eating disorders have been linked to negative experiences around puberty and menarche.
If you are wondering how to give your daughter a better experience, CDG has proven to have a positive and lasting impact on girls , as well as strengthening the mother / caregiver bond.
Girls who are well supported at this stage have a more positive body image, better self-esteem and a healthier attachment to parents and peers.
CDG takes place in a safe and nurturing setting and fun of activities, beautiful crafts, stories and sharing create an atmosphere of respect and improved communication. The Facilitators are very experienced thoroughly trained.
